Highlights in the Merano Region 2025

The year 2025 brings exciting experiences for all mountain biking enthusiasts: 1. The Stuanbruch Trail will be expanded with new, challenging sections, 2. the Design Hotel Tyrol offers a unique team-building event with trail-building experience, and 3. invites you to spectacular Early Bird Rides.

Trail Update

Boris Frei, head of Design Hotel Tyrol, continues to focus on expanding trails in the Rabland region. On April 10th, the brand-new Section B "Sümpf" of the Stuanbruch Trail will be officially opened. Over a length of 465 meters, between 1650 and 1450 meters in altitude, bikers can expect varied terrain.
"We have put a lot of effort into these new sections to make the riding experience even more diverse," says Boris Frei. The new Section F, between 1250 and 1100 meters, also brings exciting innovations: a fast jump line and a challenging pro line for technical riders. This section will be opened in May.

Team Building with a Twist: Trail-Building Event with Design Hotel Tyrol

In May, Design Hotel Tyrol is organizing a unique incentive event for a Munich-based company: trail building as a team-building activity. "Many people don’t realize how much work goes into maintaining a perfectly groomed trail. Here, they can experience it firsthand," explains Frei. Under the guidance of experts, participants will create a new trail section. Beyond physical effort and teamwork, the event aims to raise awareness of the effort that goes into well-maintained trails.

Early Bird Rides 2025: Enjoy the Sunrise on an E-Bike

In 2025, Design Hotel Tyrol and Boris Frei once again invite riders to the popular Early Bird Rides. In June and July, two exclusive sunrise tours on e-bikes will take place – an unforgettable experience for early risers.
"For me, there is nothing better than riding through the mountains with the first morning sun and then enjoying 1500 meters of downhill," says Frei. The final routes will be determined based on wildlife conditions, with possible destinations including Vigiljoch or the Stoanernen Mandlen.
