From Arabba up to Pordoi Pass/Pordoijoch

From Arabba 33 switchbacks snake their way up to Passo Pordoi. In Arabba, the first switchbacks already wind their way up the mountain, then straight stretches alternate with switchbacks. From halfway along the stretch, one switchback follows close on another. The ascent is as pleasant to tackle as the ascent from Canazei, if a little steeper. The route is most pleasant on the Sellaronda Bike Day, when the Sellaronda is closed to car traffic. We would recommend that you avoid taking this tour in August and it is preferable to be already on the road in the early hours of the morning.
