The Tauern Circuit

If you are looking for a dead cert of a MTB tip for the Tures and Aurina Valleys, then we recommend that you try the Tauern Circuit. For one thing is certain: The Tauern Circuit in the remotest Tures and Aurina Valleys is hard to beat for panoramic views and trail quality. The tour starts in the former mining village of Predoi. Here it leads off towards the Waldner Alm and climbs about 2,000 m in altitude to open up the splendid panoramic view of the Pizzo Rosso and Picco dei Tre Signori mountains, each over 3,000 metres in height. The trail continues to the Schüttalm and through changing scenery onwards up to the agricultural area of Ober Tauernalm/Malga Tauern di Sopra. The route back to Casere follows the historic Tauernpfad trail.
