Ochsenlenke

51 km and a climb of 2,000 metres in altitude: these are the demands for fitness on one of the really most beautiful and most challenging mountain bike tours in the Tures and Aurina Valleys. The Ochsenlenke links San Pietro with Riva di Tures and is a crossing offering the most remarkable scenery. We start in Cadipietra and pedal to San Pietro, where the track climbs steeply (up to 23%) up to the Hasental meadow. There, the more difficult trail, which leads up to the Ochsenlenke at 2,650 m, begins. It is essential to have a good mastery of riding technique, in order to remain on your bike. However, the wonderful route takes us further along beautiful single trails with ever narrower and more frequent switchbacks all the way to the Brunneralm. Further on, below us the chef at the Knuttenalm/Malga dei Dossi awaits us hungry bikers. We ride on through Riva and Ahornach/Acereto on tarmac and forest tracks back to Cadipietra.
