Herrnsteig Freeride Trail
The Plan de Corones/Kronplatz trail legend
Mountainbike
Bends, bends and more bends. There have been many attempts to count all the bends on the Herrnsteig Free-ride Trail and we still don't know the correct number. Why? There are too many of them. If you think of a crazy switchback railway track, you have totally the wrong idea. They are actually banked curves with ultra fine radius, in which bike and rider can ride the curve under their own steam. It is the most exquisite pleasure to set the bike into the bends and to manoeuvre gently over the countless waves. The Herrnsteig Freeride Trail is one of the longest flow trails in the Alps and has earned Plan de Corones in Val Pusteria an exceptional reputation among freeriders, enduristi and downhillers. Conclusion: The Herrnsteig is still an insider tip, but not for much longer and everyone is talking about Plan de Corones.
