Gais is a wise choice
A bike holiday in the green valley
Gais. The name probably doesn’t ring any bells for most people. Unless, of course, they’ve been there before. And, you will know who has been on a mountain bike holiday in Gais because they won’t be able to stop raving about it.
Gais is an insider tip. The small village is a little under 10 kilometres from Kronplatz/Plan de Corones and its enduro trails; the Tauferer Ahrntal/Valle Aurina stretches northwards to the 80 three-thousand-metre peaks of the main Alpine ridge, and to the left and right the countless hidden trails in Pfalzen/Falzes and Mühlbach/Rio di Pusteria invite mountain bikers to come and play.
What else is good to know? The locals here, who know all the trails without exception, all work at the BikeHotel in Gais.
