No, we are not exaggerating. Southern South Tyrol and the area around Bozen/Bolzano can easily be called a year-round destination – even though it can be quite cold in winter. There is rarely snow in the valleys, and in March, half of South Tyrol moves from the higher valleys to Lake Kaltern/Caldaro to enjoy spring and go mountain biking in southern South Tyrol.
