Discover the most beautiful alpine huts around Meransen and enjoy a varied mountain bike tour in the South Tyrolean mountains. This is the perfect tour for those seeking a combination of physical challenge and alpine hut charm.

Route description

Start at the Gitschberg cable car station in Meransen (1,428 m) and follow the forest trail up to the Pichler Hut (1,918 m). From there, you can continue uphill to reach the Nessel Hut (2,113 m) and the Gitsch Hut (2,210 m). Enjoy the stunning views and fresh mountain air!

Afterwards, head back down to the Pichler Hut and continue downhill to the Bacher Hut (1,744 m). Then, cycle to the Altfasstal parking lot and ride through the village to return to the starting point.

You can conveniently park at the Gitschberg cable car base station parking lot.

Public transport

Accessible from Mühlbach with the Mühlbach - Meransen cable car (no. 413).
