"Demuth-Trail" Top of the Stoneman

Start in Sesto/Moso towards the main village of Sesto to the parish church and from here take the panoramic road to Mezzomonte (1,600 km). Turn left towards Rifugio Larice (1,800) and continue to the Monte Elmo mountain station (2,040). From here, continue to the Rifugio Gallo Cedrone hut (2,150) and then along a wide, easy cycle path to the Rifugio Sillianer hut at 2,450 metres. From here, the path continues steeply uphill with 50 m of difference in altitude, follow the “Stoneman” signs to Monte Arnese (2,500). Turn right onto hiking trail no. 134, along a beautiful moderately difficult single trail S2 to the Malga Klammbach hut (1,940). Then continue along forest path no. 13 back to Sesto/Moso to the Hotel Alpenblick ****s.

TIP: Alternatively from the Malga Klammbach hut along the “Erla” Trail to the valley station of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo cable car.
