Tour of the mountain huts

Start from Sesto/Moso via the forest path no. 13 towards Alpe di Nemes. After a hard ascent of around 40 minutes, you will reach the “Saumad” high plateau (1,750), go left to the Malga Klammbach hut (1,940). This is also a demanding stretch, where after around 30 minutes you can enjoy the fantastic view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo from the mountain hut. Above the Malga Klammbach hut take route no. 13 to Alpe di Nemes (1,900), this trail is technically challenging in parts with a stretch where bikes have to be carried lasting around 100 m but it is highly recommended. Once at the Malga Alpe Nemes hut, turn left shortly before the hut and take the wide route no. 146 into the high valley. After around 2 km, turn right to the Coltrondo hut. From the Coltrondo hut take the road for about 500 m and then turn right into the forest along hiking trail no. 149 towards Passo di Monte Croce di Comélico, initially a challenging technical S/2 trail in parts then via the forest road up to the fork at Alpe di Nemes. At the Alpe di Nemes/Malga Coltrondo crossroads, turn right into hiking trail no. 130 towards “Schwarzsee”. Turn left towards the campsite, the trail from here is again a cool, partially challenging trail with lots of roots passing the campsite to the valley station of the “Tre Cime di Lavaredo cable car” and the “Pollaio Hut”. Turn right at the “Pollaio Hut” and the Sesto circular path takes you back to Sesto/Moso to the Hotel Alpenblick ****s.
