Up to the Passo di Fundres/Pfunderer Joch

A real challenge for mountain bikers

The Passo di Fundres is regarded by ambitious mountain bikers as a real challenge and is a tour, which the top bikers at the peak of fitness want in their tour diary. The mountain bike tour begins in Vipiteno in the Valle Isarco. It continues towards Fußendrass/Fossa di Tures in the Val di Vizze to the Großbergalm. From here on it becomes exciting. Only fit bikers manage to cycle up the difficult uphill to Passo di Fundres, without dismounting and pushing their bikes. Once you have reached the top, all your efforts are rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view. The descent to the Malga Wittenberg/ Wittenbergalm demands total concentration. The trail is very challenging. Once you have negotiated this stretch, the trail continues to Fundres and on to Vandoies, where the tour ends.
