Southern Wine Route
A detour into the most southern cycling region of South Tyrol
Like the Central and Northern Wine Routes, the Southern Wine Route follows the South Tyrolean Wine Route, but, as the name suggests right in the very south of South Tyrol. The road bike or trekking bike route links the wine villages of Cortaccio, Magrè Cortina and Salorno and Egna, Ora and Termeno. The 39 km trip can be undertaken from March to November, but it is especially recommended in spring and autumn, when the temperature is pleasantly balmy. The difference in altitude is limited to 350 metres of altitude, which makes this tour ideal as basic training for racing cyclists and enjoyable for pleasure bikers, who are keen to visit the various places of interests.
