Route description

Start at the Bruneck bus station, where ample parking is available. Follow the signs toward Ahrntal and head in the direction of Sand in Taufers. Just outside Bruneck, you’ll join the bike path that runs along the main road into the residential area of St. Georgen. After a short incline, take the country road on the right side of the Ahr River to reach the village of Gais.

The route continues past the recreational park and playground, through the artisan district, and then across fields and meadows to Uttenheim. From there, continue along the paved country road on the river’s right bank until you reach Kematen. From Kematen, you have several route options to reach Sand in Taufers. If you'd like to explore Sand in Taufers, cross the bridge, head to the large parish church, and continue into the village center.
